Price seems right.......They seem to start at 50k with a little less miles so this seems priced to sell. Not aware of us discussing it before.

Now that one looks good value....

went to see it and booked a test drive for next week. Inside isn't pristine condition, wasn't kept very tidy I guess and had a boot leak which led to "wrecked service book" so new service book is being prepared by a dealer with all correct stamps... sounds fishy....

Sounds perfectly plausible, service history is traceable nowadays anyway. Maserati boots are prone to leaks now and again.

Has he boot leak been sorted? Can you see if it did have a leak ?

Who leaves the service book in the boot anyway.

All my books lived under the floor of the boot when I collected mine! The only saving grace was that it was garaged...

That's where they live in a nice large blue folder. My car is inside too, no intention of using it at the mo.

didn't see any apparent signs of the leak but I didn't know about it at a time (had a chat after I looked at the car). Apparently sorted.

will see what's it like to drive and let you know. Seems a good price for a low milage car but like I say, passenger seat looked a bit tatty and roof button and area surrounding it on the centre console were particularly worn.

Same. They were in that underfloor hole. The soggy book story sounds perfectly legit to me. I wouldn't worry about it. Just use it to negotiate.

Lift up the boot floor and there's a "hidden" compartment, which I suspect is where the water found its way to.

Listen out for wind noise round the leading of the roof. One I test drove sounded like the roof wasn't a brilliant fit. Not sure if they're all like that or just this one.

Also, make sure you never need to use the boot. It's tiny! Although I suppose maybe you could keep fish in it.

Good luck!

Mine were all in the boot as well and were water damaged. I believe it's a well known fault on these cars but should have been sorted. Everything was still legible on mine so not a problem.

Mine are still in the boot but are to one side held in by one of those cargo nets. My extra storage under the floor houses an emergency kit & tool kit which came with the car

OK, so that answers my question...

Consider yourself told, although I would never keep any documents in a car.

Never been sure about the Grancab but both these look quite nice with roof up or down, interesting

I was referring to my set of manuals rather than the service book itself - just in case I need to loom up any warning lights while en route - a hangover from my 3200 days probably!

With the speed of the replies you might be better just posting up the query here! :)
