RIGHT THEN GENTLEMEN, START YOUR ENGINES.........

Part 1 - Karting.

Other than a couple of lose ends to tie down, I think we're about there.

Anyone wanting to meet at Ace before the karting, then please bear in mind that you need to get yourselves around the North Circular for the 11am briefing. We're on track at 11.30. Otherwise we'll all meet at the karting venue. Anyone not karting, but wanting to watch, please do come along! :D

15. Maser sod / Pat. - Payment received but sadly can't make it.
16. Enzo.
17. Chippiepilot.

Pete, Could you let me know what you're plans are? I know you're hoping to make the day, but not certain which bits?

If Myles does want to join in, then that's ideal as I can then be certain to get the minimum 16 drivers and refund Pat.

Part 2 - Ace Cafe.

Unfortunately it's difficult to let you know exactly when the throng will descend on Ace following the karting, however I'd guesstimate around 2.30pm. Anyone not karting but wanting to attend Ace, PM me your mobile number and I can send you a TXT when we're leaving Edmonton. You'll then know we're about 30 minutes away.

Address / SatNav details...

Ace Cafe London
Ace Corner
North Circular Road
Stonebridge
London
NW10 7UD

I'm guessing a little bit on this one, so please just amend if I've got it wrong, but the people I think may be attending Ace are...

1. Emtee / Miles.
2. Mrs Tee / Linda.
3. YHTM.
4. Granturismo Dan / Dan.
5. Mrs GTD / Louise.
6. 2b1ask1 / Newton.
7. Mrs 2b1 / Jeanette.
8. Conaero / Matt.
9. Pibbow / Peter.
10. Nick P / Nick.
11. Mrs Nick P / Becky.
12. Lozcb / Loz.

22. Parisien / Frank.
23. Mme Parisien.
24. Maserati / Paul.
25. Mrs Maserati / Carole.
26. Aeros / Mark.

Please bear in mind that there is another event on at Ace that afternoon. It's a Scooby gathering, and sadly they have precedence when it come to the car park, so we may need to park on the road-side along the front of the Ace Cafe. Ace know we're coming however and will do what they can to accommodate as many as can safely be parked.

I'll phone them tomorrow and see whether we can at least reserve a couple of tables so everyone can sit down together to eat.

Part 3 - The Hotel.

I reckon we need to be away from Ace Cafe at around 5pm. Google Maps shows the journey from Ace to the Crowne Plaza as taking 30 minutes, but allowing for traffic and the fact that it's a pig to find, I think an hour is probably wise.

Address / SatNav details...

Crowne Plaza Marlow
Fieldhouse Lane
Marlow
Buckinghamshire
SL7 1GJ
Sat Nav Postcode: SL7 1LU

So we should arrive at the Crowne Plaza around 6pm. An hour to check in and get your glad rags on and then 7pm for a pre-dinner drink at the hotel bar. Anyone dining, but not staying at the hotel, you are most welcome to meet us at the hotel bar.

Taxi's for 7.30pm to take us to the restaurant, or if early, then the pub next door.

Those over-nighting are...

1. Em and Mrs Tee. (Miles and Linda)
2. Dem and Christina.
3. Dan and Louise.
4. Conaero / Matt.
5. Pibbow.??
6. Loz and Kaz.
7. SimonM.
8. Pat and Brenda.
9. Paul and Carole.
10. Aeros / Mark.
11. Andyp250f / Andy and partner.

Pete, If you could let me know your plans for the evening? I know you're hoping to attend, but am not certain which parts?

And finally Part 5 - The Morning after the night before.

For those staying over, along with anyone else that would like to meet on Sunday, we will be checking out of the hotel at around 11am.

It would be unwise to organise anything specific before-hand, as there may be some sore heads, but if last year is anything to go by, we may well find somewhere local to grab some brunch, which could therefore involve a drive around some of Buckinghamshire's lovely roads.

I'm hoping that perhaps Nick can suggest some juicy roads being the local boy, and perhaps some knowledge of local eateries?

REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE IN THE NOT TOO DISTANT FUTURE! LET'S MAKE IT A GOOD ONE!!

Miles what's the score with Keith/Budgie?

Not sure Matt. Have been hoping he'd sign up to the evening's festivities, but other than a few posts when we were in the early planning stages, I haven't heard from him.

Be great to get him along though...

Don't think so Enz, suppose you can if you really want to, but I am sure they will be fully stocked equipment wise.

The only issue is that with all the same helmets on, you don't know who's who...or who is trying to run you off the road....wear yours Enz and you might make a bit of target of yourself!!!!

I most certainly can help with eateries & roads, not sure I can help with hangovers!

Four days and counting!

The weather seems set fair for the weekend. Clear skies, little to no chance of rain, but on the chilly side.

I've spoken to Ace and though I need to confirm it tomorrow, we should have a couple of benches reserved for us.

I've also spoken to Villa D'Este and so far they're proving reluctant to do an inclusive deal. No worries; worst comes to the worst, we'll just need to keep a tot' on the cost of our food and drinks, but I'm going to have another chat tomorrow.

Not long to go now....
