The problem is not the just the infotainment screen/interface, although it is crxp, its also how awful the amp and speakers sound. My car does not have the fancy audio pack though, which may make a difference. I have not turned it on for the past 9 months of use.

I have a Bose system in mine. It's far from audiophile (not that has much place in car of this type anyway) but I wouldn't call it awful.

I've yet to try proper source other than radio on my BOSE setup, but i have a BMW with Harman & Kardon and it is absolutely sublime. So it will take some beating

I wouldn't even bother with a comparison... Leave it on the radio and blame the shortcomings on reception

I had Bose on my GTS and don't have it on my Stradale, I can honestly barely tell the difference.
If I had bought new and optioned the Bose, I would have been very disappointed based on the premium price they charge for it

My bose system in the GTS was epic. Best standard stereo i have has in any car.
With all your comments I wonder if it was actually upgraded with aftermarket speakers and I didn't know!

Still not sure you need stereos in these cars though. The engine sound track is so sublime

Drove in to work again this morning and not an ounce of stereo required!

I agree with Iain, my Bose system in the GTS is the best sound I've had in a car and I've had a few!
Nice weather = Windows down, listen to car noise
Bad weather/high speed = Windows shut, Bose on full blast!

Its odd, I had the GTS with the Subwoofer in the rear parcel shelf and I thought it was pants. I now have a Strad with the same system except no (heavy) sub in the rear parcel shelf and it sound excellent.

I noticed on my GS that when disconnecting the rear parcel shelf speakers it sounded loads better with much crisper separation rather than a boomy mess.

Am I going mad?

I'd expect better separation from two speakers than four!

Have to agree with the above. The Bose in my GTS is pretty good. Although I think one of the speakers is blown.

Has anyone done a speaker upgrade in their GT?

Yes, the Bose is pretty good - my point is I did not notice a discernible difference between Bose & non Bose.

I agree though, an upgraded custom fit speaker upgrade could be a good mod to consider
