I certainly admire your commitment, but wow! That'd be an expensive clothes horse in my house!

Take care mate, I know how frustrating it can be when you are temporarily out of action and you just want to get back into it!!Bit of an up and down couple of weeks for me too.
The ups were I’ve got a date for hip surgery - 15th march.
The downs were I started getting a pain in my left chest. Could feel it when beathing, lying down etc.
Seems that although I thought I was taking it easy in the gym, I wasn’t taking it easy enough and I’ve strained my chest so I haven’t trained for over a week to let it fully recover.
This is a very frustrating long slog at the moment and I’m gonna have to be more careful.

Catching up?That's age catching up with you mate!
Comes to us all! Sadly.
This weekend I discovered that I can no longer effectively digest nuts. This lead to 24hrs of excruciating stomach pains and lots of vomiting.
On the plus side, by Sunday morning I was 2kg lighter! Then I spent the day gently replacing my lost fluids and have regained 2kg by this morning.
Easy come, easy go...
Today my stomach feels bruised on the inside and is still cramping from time to time, but it's infinitely better than it was on Saturday.
Still managed this morning's bike ride followed by garage gym session. according to the PT I've made some good gains over the last couple of months despite not having the full array of gym equipment at our disposal.
Fingers crossed Boris will announce a re-opening date for gyms later today.
Does our body start intolerances against certain foods as we get older?
Can do, yes. Lactose is quite a common one. I'm getting that more and more. Can't drink macchiatos at all.

Still do, most types, although stopped getting KP a few years ago when their allergy warning stated "may contain peanuts". Thought "f?** me, that was a close call".... used to eat peanuts all the time when younger with no issues at all.
A mate of mine woke up in a hospital in Seattle with a tube through his neck to discover he'd developed a nut allergy. He is in his mid-50s and collapsed in a hotel lobby on a business trip. The doctors reckoned it was a combo of dust, stress and nuts. Whilst he should be ok to eat nuts again, there's no way he will.I'm sure you've all been worried sick about me since this announcement. So I thought I'd update you on my prognosis...
Still experiencing mild stomach pain, but now more constant like a bruised feeling rather than cramping. It gets worse if my stomach is cold, the warmth from my hand resting on it is enough to calm it. No more vomiting though.
Been eating sparingly and blandly, so expect to be back to normal in a couple of days.
No more nuts for me! Not a great loss in truth. But it has made me wonder if there are any other new or developing allergies or intolerances which might explain occasional stomach upsets, bloat, lethargy, and reduced focus.
Is there an official test that can be carried out at home? I've seen ads for such things on FB but after research they all appear to be scams.
