Proud of you all! Did not do a great job, exercise-wise, at end of last week. Got at it good over the weekend. Looks like a bad start to the work week, as well...will try & make up for it when I get home...

We don't need to cut out salt. A 250g packet lasts us *months* because we basically never eat processed food. This is not a 'oh look at us' but we just weren't brought up to eat processed food and restaurants were probably a once every 6 months.

I don't want to *stop* drinking. Yet.

Something that has been getting me down is my expanding belly
Started off well so far in this New Year but I know it’ll be tough to loose it all and go back to 2019 standards
I need to loose 20kg and I’m about 3ft 4 so not good

20KG, @dem maser ? You sure? Not 20 lbs?

What's doing me Good at the moment and I have the whole house to do is painting all the new dry lined internal walls using a roller it's very aerobic along with music of my choice usually from the 70's.

So what you're suggesting as the 2024 fit club is we all come and decorate your house, yes? ;)

Two things really I'm too tight to pay the Artisan's to do it and the exercise is a welcome bonus.
Once finished we'll have guest rooms and happy to see friends passing by in this lovely area of France :)

14 lbs....

True, but there's a point of getting to the point of death and still being in reasonable shape (yes I know the meme about skidding into your grave) but I look at my mother (who is basically unable to walk) or my sister (61 this month) and very overweight, as has been for as many years as we have been alive, and that is not how I want to be

C
Just one extra stone can push your body mass index (BMI) above 25 and officially into the overweight category, where the health risks become serious.

Exactly where I am

Those few extra inches around the middle can put someone who's slightly overweight into the same risk category as someone who's obese.' So how do you know when your love handles are a health risk?

Measure your waist, holding the tape measure one inch above your navel. If it's between 32in and 35in, you're at an increased risk of the health problems that come with being overweight.

If it's more than 35in, you are at a substantial risk, no matter how tall or ‘big boned' you are.

Totally. The math I heard (a couple of times) was it was height divide by two. Given that I'm quite long, my 34+ is *just* OK. But some more leeway would be good
