Morning all

Crank sensor has been replaced and she's up and running but now Ive got an error on the dash and its the drivers side front suspension actuator. it looks like these are hard to get hold of and most owners carry out there own repairs.

Does anyone out there have a good source for these parts OR is it worth shipping to Captain Zinc in the states for a refurb?

Cheers

its worth having a quick look at it. They are not hard to remove and can get knocked off with rough handling. The motor should go through a little start up sequence when the ignition is switched on so if it does not move around on start up then the motor is gone. However i think the little toothed gear on the top of the motor is prone to wear and is its only this there is some one on the forum here who makes aluminium alternative gear wheels, which is a lot cheaper than a new motor.

Good to know thanks

It goes through the start up procedure with no issues so maybe its something gear related.

unless its the shock that's the problem, i am not sure how the suspension controller works out whats good and whats bad, but does the shaft on the shock absorber rotate? if its seized up this would prevent the motor from moving and give you the error. the shocks can be refurbished by a few people, i have used David Askew, and it seems to work!

Thanks Davy thats useful

I spoke to Mr Askew yesterday and we had a good chat, he's not got any stock but has offered to have a go on the actuator if I have no joy. I didn't consider the shock so ill check it out and see if its clear.

Thanks
