...and don't forget the endfload argument. It only happens to manual due to the heavy pull clutch mincing the rear thrust washer.

So, the manual is faster but:
1. No endfload engine rebuilds
2. No agro in traffic jams
3. No clutch bearing going bang at any point

Simples!

It does happen to Autos too. It's documented and out there. Not as much as manuals but Auto's did suffer from it too.

Have not heard of it.....manuals do suffer
I bought an auto because of the London traffic and it sounded better.....on idle it just did
The dealer had a manual there for me when I went and I found the clutch heavy and did not suit the car, auto is good....all this talk about manuals being faster is not true, an auto with the right man behind the wheel is just as fast

The difference in speed, even acceleration is hardly worth talking about in the scheme of things with these beautiful cars IMO and was never a consideration in my choice, as I'm sure with most others. I have to surmise that most owners chose manual over auto because of the feeling of more control rather than a small speed difference. Personally, I would have been happy and grinning like an idiot with either model.............so long as she was green! Lol

No if your going to delete just the 3200 completely, at least then I won't still have to worry about missing boomerangs

Correct Greg, I went out in both, not a lot in it either auto or manual, but as I wanted an Assetto Corsa it seemed right it should be manual, never regretted it apart from 2 1/2 hours round Brussels ring road that was hard work!
