Funnily enough the only area on The wife's car which will need sorting are the back boxes (original ones) so I will put mine on which are in great condition and then use the opportunity to put some larinis or QS on mine :)

All for original kit - except this part. The original mild steel units corrode quite fast. get someting made from SS if it is a keeper, just retain the tips for the OEM look, with correct patina.

Think I am going to go that route too Rob as Larini's don't come up often enough these days and I'm not paying for a new set!

Fair point I think Contigo, any idea where to start looking for a manufacturer? Just to get a basic idea of what's involved etc?

I have these if they are any help, stainless boxes, but they need fettling, they came off a 3200 but not at all well made, probably home made to my way of thinking

Marios @ Autoshield can make you a set in SS at a reasonable price if you choose to not go down the OEM route

I put a set of rear sports boxes on from Mario at Autoshield and I think I still have one of the original's. I skipped one side as it had been repaired (poorly).

I will have a look tomorrow and get back to you. If you do go the road with sports boxes then Marios are fantastic value and sound great.

Is there any box that gives a sound like the original ones?
I'm affraid of spending so much money on SS and get something that is either too loud or makes drone noise.

Don't need them at the moment but as they seem to be a consumable in these cars, I would like to keep my options open
