Curiosity question. Mine needed cleaned up a bit, but have seen some in black crackle or cream. Any reason for the difference in colour? Mine are black, but flaking a bit.

The reason they are a different colour is because silver wrinkle paint isn't readily available. I tend to refinish both the coil covers and the inlet manifold in grey wrinkle which is a good compromise.

I know a man who can powdercoat crackle finish in a wide range of colours if required. PM me if you want his details.

Very nice, must get on with the tidying up of mine. Coil covers and left hand timing belt cover are flaking on mine. On my winter to do list.

Morning all,

Just to hijack this thread a bit but as I'm doing my cam covers I am considering doing my coil covers and the inlet manifold too - well they are okay but one of the coil covers has started to flake so will look worse when I put the new cam covers on I'm sure - well I'll notice it anyway!

So has anyone found a match to the original colour in a wrinkle finish - mine are a greenish siler? I'm not keen on the grey (sorry Voicey!) but maybe another close silver?

VHT seem to do just 4 basic colours:

What does black look like - can anyone share some photos of different colours if you have them? Decisions! Decisions!

Thanks for any help/advice,

Olly
