3200 exhaust clamps

The clamps that hold the back box pipes to the center section pipes on my car have disintegrated, they seem to have been two triangular shaped plates with three bolt holes in each plate, one plate is on the back box pipe and one is on the center pipe, with three nuts / bolts clamping the plates together and keeping the two sections together. The problem I have is that these "plates" were fitted before the pipe ends were flared so I even if I could get new plates made up I cant get them onto the pipes without cutting them which then means I would have to put another clamp on each plate to hold the two cut sides together. Looking at the Eurospares diagram these plates seem to be the standard fitment, has any encountered / overcome this problem before, there is nothing wrong with the pipes ( they are stainless ) so I am loath to replace them.

With out a good look but from memory would it be possible to cut flares of and measure pipe to put a sleeve on with some quality exhaust band clamps

I replaced mine, but I had another joint between the back box triangle and where it meets the two straight pieces running from the front of the car. I split it there and slid the triangle piece off. Sounds like you don't have that joint?

No mines a bit different but I think the sleeving option may work if the area with the joint is straight enough, I'll measure the pipes outer dimensions tomorrow and order some sleeving, paste / tape and clamps.

Mine, before, and the clamp towards the front, which allowed for adjustment over the rear subframe .

Having removed the remnants of the back box clamps I can see that the replacement back box pipe has no flare on it, because of this the garage that fitted them welded the triangular plate to the pipe so the two plates could tighten together. I have cut away the remainder of the welded plate, cleaned up the pipe and cut the flare of of the center pipe end, I am just waiting for a couple of 2 1/4" stainless steel sleeves to arrive and hopefully I can complete the job (both sides). The car does seem to be the gift that keeps giving....radiator, a/c condenser, ABS ECU, headlining, drop links, rear shocks and on and on.

Anyone knows what kind of screws are used in the exhaust flanges? I bought new back boxes for mine, and of course it’s too much of an hassle for Maserati to stock screws and they no longer supply them.
The bolts seem to be copper. Should the screws also be copper?

Mine were steel between the flanges, probably when the Larinis were fitted, I just bought suitable replacements M8 x 60 I think. Not sure what screws you mean
