Has anyone else had trouble with new fuel pumps? We fitted 2 new ones around 3 weeks ago and everything was fine. The car has been stood up until now when it wont start, both pumps dont work anymore. Power okay, its both pumps that have failed. We have removed them they are not seized or anything ,they just don't work!

Well that's disappointing. Do the little motors run but they don't pump fuel or is it the motors that don't move?(any noise from them when you engage ignition?) Might be worth trying to work out whats gone here. Are you sure its not just a fuse? Perhaps the new ones draw a little more power at start up than the old ones, especially after sitting for a while? Might need a different fuse for these compared to the originals?

I thought for over £200 a piece they might be good, but I guess they were just rubbish!

I feel your pain and today it's a big problem with aftermarket parts and many things copied cheaply and poorly.
You have to be so careful buying stuff online unless from a proper trade seller.
Can you not get Motorsport spec pumps from one of the many respected suppliers like Merlin Motorsport at Castle Combe Circuit ?

Cheers, they were bought on Ebay from a "reputable" classic car dealer James Barton of Croydon Classics who seems to sell **** under the user name of missceroc I thought by spending £434 he was selling something decent. They were in the car less than three weeks before they both failed but as it was over 30 days from the date of purchase he wriggled quoting Ebay's policy. He is not prepared to help in any way. He must have known they were rubbish as he didn't question the reliability at all when I messaged him. Make a note of the name and stay well clear of this scammer. Fortunately Ebay are going to refund me as I have been buying through them for many years. (they were brilliant)
They have to be of a certain type. I have seen that Walbro list them, they ought to be okay I'll. give them a go
