Do you have the part number? That sound like it should be on the alternative list
What a cracking idea Robert!
I think you might have a point Trev, I have noticed the car fogging up more than it should and was going to check the cabin filter to see if it was waterlogged (until I found out where it is and that you have to remove the windscreen wipers to remove the scuttle tray to remove the cabin filter ) but as service time is looming I decided to add it to the list of minor fixes to get sorted then. WRONG! I'll have to get it out and inspect / dry it when I next get chance.
Just a quick update for all of you that gave your time to help... I was going to take the bike to work again today but decided there was too much ice so I took the girlfriends car. A couple of days sat plus a good dry run in the sun and the problem has gone. I'm convinced now that it was just a case of an over enthusiastic application of the pressure washer that caused water ingress into the passenger footwell fuse bay. I still intend to at least inspect if not replace the cabin pollen filter at the weekend. Does anyone know of a mod that can be done to prevent this?
