3200 seat switch

Hi Guys,

The seat height adjustment on my 3200 is working intermittently, back and forward is fine it is just the two up and down movements.
Has anyone had this problem before? (I have done the seat reset procedure, but that is for front-back movement and didn't help)
I want to check the switch and wiring, but I can't remove the side panel from the seat.

I have found one screw under the front of the seat and cannot see any others, but the panel will not come off.
Does anyone have any suggestions, or does the seat have to come out?

I had a similar issue with the memory seats plus the thing would move whilst I was driving.

Had the seats in bits and it turned out to be a corroded M2 switch (memory 2 button).

What happens here is when you open the doors the water runs off the roof as there are no gutters, and the seat switches get the deluge. Over time the water works its way in and it corrodes. Get a new or used switch to test.

To take it out you have to remove the seat from the car and peal the leather off from the seat base then there are 2 cross head screws from memory. To remove the colour coded trim its held on with press fixings which you have to snap to get off so get some new ones, sure they are pence each.
