Been getting my car sorted out for its MOT today and was looking at the shocks. They have a height adjustable spring seat and are bilsteins. Do these sound like they are standard shocks? They still have the ferrari actuators on top

Yes they are. You can set the car up to GS spec but the weight distribution is very different between the two. The 4200/GS have the gearbox at the back. I think a main dealer will set it all up for you and shim it correctly for about £250.

Hope this helps

Why would anyone want to use GS setting on a 3200? As you say, the weight distribution is completely different as is the ride height, spring rates, shock settings and (correct me if I am wrong) the wheel and tyre sizes.

There is only one base setting and that is the 3200 factory spec so set precisely to this and test drive - This really transforms 3200s. Of course, if you know what you are doing and have access to a test track plus the right equipment, you can then deviate from this a little to achieve something more to your preference. Always try to keep within the factory settings however, with any adjustments being to one end or the other of the permitted range. To achieve a substantial improvement, replace front anti-roll bar / road springs / shocks / suspension ECU with the Assetto Corsa items and reset ride height / geo to factory AC spec. You could also fit the AC steering rack which is substantially quicker.

hope this helps
