3200GT off side headlamp unit, Nero Carbonio - free to a good home

Before I sold my car, I replaced the off side headlamp unit as my old one had succumbed to a common fault on these units with the paint / lacquer lifting inside the sealed unit. I spotted a few of these with the same problem at Brooklands last week.

If the lens could easily be separated from the rest of the unit, I am sure that this could be a relatively easy fix but it's not something I fancied trying - it was enough of a job just to get the unit out of the car!

However if anyone fancies having a play with this and maybe has a Dremel to hand, you're welcome to come and collect this from me in Lincolnshire PE12. It seems a shame to throw it away

Cheers, Stuart

You could turn it into a table lamp with a suitable base made for it.

If no one else wants it for their car then i would happily convert it to good use. Looking at the back of the unit it shouldnt be too difficult to convert. With a remote control colour change led bulb in there it could double up as a mood light.

A bit late getting to this thread I know but if you haven't found a home for the headlamp yet I'd be happy to give it a good home and repair it.

Let us know how you get one.
Ar the 3200 headlamps adjustable for aiming height then?

Yes adjustable, mine won't adjust = new unit I assume.

Yes, sorry Phil - Ru beat you to it

Good luck - David Askew may have a Grigio Touring headlamp as he was breaking one in that colour some time ago as was Greg @ PPCP
