Because its just a knock maybe.......You can have an accident and get it repaired and it will not be put on a register...I believ it only a CAT car if the insurance company will not repair because of cost. If you have an accident and repair it then I think it will not be recorded,........I'm sure Loz or someone in the know will confirm....

I know not many on here like the 348 Andy but I'm one that bucks the trend and I do like them...A cheapish first Ferrari...And one that lends itself to a bit of tunning and turning it iinto CS...

I also like the 348, a very under estimated car in my view. I have a good friend who has one in his garage that only comes out for a few days a year. Really nice affordable car and very much a real ferrari.

I follow several ferrari forums(using his log in details) as well as Maserati and Alfa and many of the guys on there who are super rich have one as there second ferrari. They all know their stuff and most on there love them...

It is a marmite car and its looks arnt for everyone, however those that say its not a true ferrari are very wrong on my eyes.

If the insurance company haven't been notified, then there is no way the damage can be assessed and recorded. The damage looks like a fairly minor bump on the front - could have skidded into a tree / lamp post / mounted the curb (no one to claim from) and may have traded it in/sold it on as they didn't want the heart ache of repairing it? With sky high excess charges and the prospect of increased insurance premiums the owner could have thought it not worthwhile going through the insurance.

Love the 348 and pretty much any Ferrari which may be affordable... Just need those back seats for the little one..
