4200 cambiocorsa clutch replacement

Hi all

I've been told that my clutch needs replacement so I am arranging for quotes etc. Can someone tell me if the Maserati SD3 diagnostic tool is used in the setup as some people have said no. The cars driving fine at the moment with no obvious problems although I am told my clutch wear is 29mm as opposed to the 24mm max!

Is it CC / F1?

If yes defo needs SD2/3

CC clutch wear normally measured in % not mm, who have you spoken to?

CC clutches either wear our or the tangs break, if the former drive until it starts slipping or selecting neutral the wear readings are notoriously inaccurate and as mentioned above are normally reported as % wear figure.

Dont replace the clutch till it starts slipping or you have issues getting gears. No point doing it until this happens.

Dont be duped by the garage into parting with your hard earned cash!

As above and a basic replacement is c £1.2k

Clutch wear is measured as a %. I would also drive it until it slips or drops gears.

SD3 used before, during and after replacing the clutch.

Just drive it untill it goes . It could last ages or go tomorrow . My advice would be to wheel spin it everywhere till it starts slipping ;P
