4200 cc oil leak

I noticed a bit of oil on the drive (only a few drops) but this has increased and I had smoke coming from underneath the bonnet today. I have jacked up the car and the oil seems to be coming from the rear of the engine and droping down on the bracing before hitting the exhaust hence the smoke. The oil comes drips out when the engine is going and is under pressure. Not a great deal has been lost and the oil level is still the same with all temperatures and pressures registering ok. Has anyone else had this? I will have to get it repaired but if anyone else has had the same, was it expensive?

Many thanks Gerlad

I concur, I had the same issue fitted new gaskets which differ from the original and it cured the leak.

Get yourself a mirror and aim it in back of the valve covers. My guess that's your issue to. Im with the others.

The original parts have been superceded and you can see the difference between old & new , RH cover gasket part No 198927, LH cover gasket part No 189725.

on your original post it seemed that you used a different gasket part, that's why i asked.
