Good afternoon all,

The 4200 for sale is mine - I did wonder if it would appear in here without me advertising on the forum directly. I have until now held of viewing the topic as the minute I saw the title and then the fact it had climbed to 5 pages had me fearing the worst, however - this is the internet, tis' to be expected.

I have to admit, the spacers are in my eyes - too wide a track change. However, the beauty is that they can be removed should they not be your cup of tea. I do appreciate the comments though, some have been very kind.

Always best to advertise on here yourself, people tend to be kinder when they realise that it is a forum member's car.

Unfortunately there can be a tendency to have fairly strong opinions.

That's the beauty of the web I suppose, you open yourself up to hearing people's opinions. A lot of the work I had carried out came from having searched through the many posts on similar subjects on here, I cannot fault the forum & community for the levels of expertise and assistance.

Plus - like I said, the kind comments are very welcomed.

With all the Eagle Eye Cherry's on this forum it is a matter of when rather than if they will pick up on a "different" Maserati or a bargain one or even one which they think is overpriced, has missed a service at some point or is "crass" to them so don't feel like yours is a corner case Bart! :D

I like the car and the wheels as I stated earlier in this thread but for alot of the fuddy duddies on here it simply won't cut it as a method to collect their pensions :) Joking by the way! most of them don't drive as they can't even start their cars (Urby at yesterdays meet!).

Much appreciated. The wheels really seem to divide people?! They aren't actually as dark as the images suggest - just simply was taken at low light levels and as such has distorted the colour somewhat.

As I said previously, have always found the forum to be a wealth of knowledge and assistance.

Another way to look at is folk only tend to criticise rather than praise and a handful of folk on here, compared to the number of members registered and participating in the forum, saying it isn't for them could mean the vast majority like it!
Things could be a lot worse Bart....

you should see the abuse you would get if it was a 3200!

And that is wearing now! 3200's will (and I can guarantee this) the ones that people want in the future and become collectible. The GS will too but won't ever reach the same status

Hi Chaps
Interesting thread to stumble onto. I have spacers being fitted to rear of my grancabrio next tuesday plus i am having the dark chrome standard MC wheels sprayed gloss black too.
I used spacers on my last GT coupe and IMHO it improves the appearance as the wheels sit just a little too far in the wheelarch. I am using 22mm spacers from Noor at Torenno who is a top bloke.
Its important to get the tracking done though otherwise tyre wear increases (well thats what i found last time) I will post a before and after pic and then the haters can hate!

Here's a couple of pics of mine with 15mm spacers. I think 15mm on a 4200 is just about spot on.
I can see why you'd want wider on a GT or GC.

Adam (Mr F Crud) has fitted spacers to the rear of his GTS too & it does look very nice, looking forward to seeing your pictures

All GT's need spacers as the wheels are just to far under the arches so look forward to seeing the results. The wheels will look good as well as not a fan of the lighter wheels on the MC......Noor is a good guy and the products are quality...Look forward to the results.
