A few questions please

My car looks like it might need new front discs again as they feel warped (although I have a sneaking suspicion it might be calliper related). I've found the group buy thread but that seems to have gone quiet. Is that thread the only way of getting hold of cost effective discs?

Also I am struggling to find my paint code to buy a chip stick. My car is an 05 black Gransport. Does that mean it's carbonio black by definition or were there other shades of black available on the GS? If it helps in direct sunlight it has a decidedly brown tinge to the metallic flakes....

Anyone know where to get a cost effective bonnet badge from? I will try my Maserati dealer if not but aware knowledgable members on here may have sniffed out a bargain supplier ;)

Lastly can anyone recommend a leather colonising kit they have actually used? I am at a point now where I either tackle the front seats with a kit or I will have the leather re-trimmed.

Thanks :)

not sure about the rest of your questions, but the calipers are known for seizing up after long periods not used. I have my calipers refurbished and it makes a huge difference. There is also a known problem with some after market disc pads being slightly too large for the slots and if these are forced into place instead of skimming them down a bit (or getting the right ones) this can cause uneven braking and some problems.

The group buy closed months ago, and there is a long list of people who are not in it who now require discs.

As I seem to recall, they use the same calipers as my 968, which means that they can suffer from 'plate lift'. This can cause the pads to be applied only one side. The **** causes corrosion underneath the plate that holds the pads which pinches them. If you have this, then it's a caliper refurb. Not too expensive as caliper specialists can do this (no maserati premium). I did my 968 calipers myself with a dremel, some caliper paint and new seal kits. Oh and baking in my oven to 200 degrees.
