Thank you. It has been a fun, reliable classic car. A car that often gets a bad rap from people that have never even seen one.

Thank you! Glad you guys like it. As in all creative processes, you never feel secure about the end result, until you get feedback from people you don´t know. Share it as much as you like.. :)

That's a lovely example. It's a real shame that good ones are now so rare. The tatty ones continue to taint the reputation of them all, quite unfairly. Good on you for showing that a nice one is, well.....nice!

Great thread resurrection, Phil. I've been looking around for a Alfa Spider, but think I could easily be distracted by one of these. Problem will be finding a good one.

Great vid, I started off trying to buy a Spyder and ended up my Ghibli II, although it still doesn't stop me wanting one.

Contigo, I'm sure I've spied the one you're looking it, it looks a goodie, get it bought!

Great vid and a lovely car.

I keep contemplating trading my Spyder and buying one of these it would look really good side by side with the SZ

I agree. The zag spyder is one of my favourites. I am still torn between one of them, getting harder to find a good one mind, and an 70s Alfa Spyder when I semi retire marci as my next summer toy. Although expensive, the yellow SZ Spyder for sale would still be my number 1 if man maths can get past Fiona! ;)

Not a fan of the RZ (SZ Spider), part of the fun of the SZ is how taut the chassis is and how it corners like it's on rails this is lost in the RZ as removing the roof has significantly reduced the rigidity. Additionally the SZ boot is tiny, it makes the Alfa 916 GTV boot look huge so the only place to put stuff is the back seats but these don't exist in the RZ so not a great tourer either. On the plus side the RZ with the roof down sounds awesome, Alfas 12V V6 is one of the best sounds out there much better than the later 24V version.

But if you want one now last year was the time to buy as they are moving upwards quickly at the moment partly due to them hitting 25 years old which means they can be imported to the States.

if I'm honest with myself, I doubt I will ever see one in my garage, just too far outside my likely budget for a toy but it good to have a dream.................

Agreed, much prefer the SZ - the RZ just doesn't work for me
