ABS/ ASR - Another one with problems!

Lets hope so Robert! I have found somewhere who recon the ABS module near me so might give them a go if it turns out to be the ECU...

Does anyone have any more on this one? Anyone successfully reconned the Bosch unit? Any tests I can do at home?

I think I spotted on Mike Roberts website "new for 2014" that he is now doing reconditioned ABS ECU's on exchange.

Yup £2700 from Maserati (if they have any left). That's the thing with these cars parts are getting harder and harder to source, can you imagine in 20 years time what it could be like? Mike said it is his last one and there will be no more as he had a batch of 5 done and Bosch did a special for him. I am amazed that people say no one can rework them when the likes of BBA reman do the same for other Bosch units.

Anything can be reworked, I suppose it depends on the volume to a degree..!! I suppose it's the old factory stranglehold thing that might be at work, "buy from us, or not at all"..!!

Hi bill, haven't got it off yet so not sent it off! After reading the comments on here I am in two minds as most people say they cannot be rebuilt. I will wait for one to come up I think or bite the bullet and pay a grand!

Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum and share this ABS EBD NO ASR intermittent problem except I have this at key on and can go off again later in the journey. I also get OBD codes 0500 (speed sensor) 1507 as a result. I have tested the sensors and all return 1.67 ish ohmes. Any help or advice appreciated.

Phonic wheel or ABS sensors. That's about all it can be...

I think you may need to change the ABS pump, I have a 04 couple half year ago abs,end,nsp light all on and just can use 1&2 gear . Finally the problem is cause of the ABS pump after I change it everything back to normal

Start with the simple things first, like ABS wheel sensors, then work up..!!
