Great day, great weather, great company. Only spoiled by Benny turning up! Good to see the usual mob, plus a lot of new faces who all joined in the fun. Adam's 458 is glorious and Barrie's FF is a dream car for me. I was really impressed by how far members travelled to join in - North Yorkshire, Dorset, Wales (Andy, what a lovely surprise!) and deepest Kent - great effort!
I was very fortunate to just spot a Police car hidden by the side of the M25 a couple of junctions before home. I quickly adjusted my speed to something the boys in blue might deem acceptable and they caught me up after a mile or two and kindly escorted me to my junction. Phew!

A fun evening with a few new faces, flippin traffic ruined the day for me with a four hour drive to Faversham and a three hour drive to Ace from Faversham! Went home vis North Circular, got into a 'situation' with a prat in a white van and I settled it in a manner not normal for me but he got the message!

Home for 10.00 to be met by my younger daughter rather excited to have been given a key to the Aygo (even though she has not passed her test yet), the excitement started a nose bleed. Nothing exceptional about that, left her to it and watched an episode of Fast & Loud; screams from Jeaneatte at 11.00 as Alex had just found Christine unconscious in a pool of blood on the bathroom floor with the toilet bowl full of blood!!!!!!! Lots of blue lights and she and Jeanette off to the hospital in an ambulance!!! Not a pleasant experience.

Anyway; sorry I missed you Andy and others who left early, I had intended to be at Ace for 15.30 with a washed car... Great to see so many.

Got in about an hour ago, what an absolute pleasure to meet you all, don't ask me to remember all your names I have enough difficulty remember by kids and wife :)

My ears are still bleeding from following MAF and Adam from the Orchard. totally deaf in my right ear!!!

I will try wherever I can and come down and meet you again, just depends on a few things with my wife's treatment.

What a thoroughly enjoyable night and not a bad bunch of lads either, shame I am too old to look at the waitresses in the Ace!!

Oh and the chilli was fine I think, except my son was bubbling on the way home and I haven't started yet:rofl5:

Love the pics of this evening!

Right, when will the next one be? I want to put it in my diary and tell my colleagues I'm unavailable. In fact, I'll take the afternoon off to join at the pub first.

Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

I may well make to seek a similar arrangement

Bloody ****, Newton. Hope all is well.

I recall Dan did something similar when staying with us, once. No blue lights involved but unpleasant even so!

An enjoyable afternoon. No birdcage but done think anyone expected him. Great to see so many cars. Love Adam's 458 and Euans old ghibli cup. My water pump is back so hopefully the ghibli will stay roadworthy long enough to make it to the next one

I had a similar fortunate escape as well last night. I hit a nice empty bit of the M20, and thought I'd see how quickly I could get 70 (ish), the next thing I know I've gone past the speed the Germans limit there cars (75 I think). Before deciding that enough was enough.
Having reduced my speed to 74, I spotted a car which I was sure was an unmarked police car, which turned out to be one (they use Seats on the M20 & M2 for the record), on came the blues and twos, fortunately they had other fish to fry rather than me, and sped off down the M20 after someone/thing else.

I guess I had to have a bit of luck yesterday.

It was quite a comical moment watching approx 20 cambiocorsa boxed Masers trying to do quick 3 point turns when we turned round! Seemed like ages waiting to get reverse & back to 1st again

Can't wait to see the Ghibli at Autoitalia! Popping down in the MCV must have been a good tonic though!

Cheers C & others, Yes as in the Good Morning thread; I stayed up and collected them from the hospital at 03.30 so feeling a bit phased today. It was a truly massive nose bleed to the point she went unconscious and collapsed, the lower blood pressure slowed the bleed but fortunately the way she fell, she didn't bang her head on anything and also had her nose pointing down so didn't choke but it was only her brother needing a pee that found her, he thought she was pranking till he saw all the mess! She will be fine and getting it quarterised soon now.

Scary stuff Newton. This is why we go and check our kids two or three times a night. You just never know.

Glad she's OK.

Glad to hear she is OK. Definitely get it cauterised. I had pretty bad nosebleeds for years & didn't know it could be cauterised until I had a particular bad one that wouldn't stop. Went to Moorfields and done in an hour. Never had a problem since. Always a little inconvenient when you are looking forward to a nice Sunday Roast only to find it starts turning very red all of a sudden!

LOL....I don't drive it too often and drive all different cars with all different boxes so got a little confused! Always a humbling experience. Maybe the CC box is the ultimate leveller that we all look like spoons trying to manoeuvre at low speed. At least it has the hill assist brake long thing. As you know....the E60 M5 didn't so pulling out or parking on the up-slope was always fun!!
