Adding Bluetooth to GranSport

Hi all,
Please forgive me if this has been addressed 100 times before but I am looking to add Bluetooth capability to my GranSport so I can stream music from my phone (Spotify, YouTube etc) as well as make and answer calls.
I know I can simply upgrade the headunit, though I would prefer to keep it all original, and there is also the loudlink option.
I came across these cables on eBay that are quite cheap and was wondering if one of these would suit and if anybody here has used them? If so, are they easy to install and do they work well? I really appreciate any advice. Many thanks

Thanks for your reply! Do I need to disconnect the CD stacker or is there a spare port that this just plugs into? I assume it can only really plug into one spot so should be pretty easy to tell where it needs to go? Many thanks!

I have one of those on my 3200 - I believe it replaces the CD changer, and was indeed a really easy and useful addition to the car

Thanks all for your replies. I have just bought one and will let you know how I get on. Is it pretty obvious which plug is for the CD changer that I need to disconnect? I have never touched this stuff before but am sure it can’t be too hard. Thanks again

Hi, just have a look...

edit: o.k....gransport have a "normal" Blaupunkt radio, so go to the backside of the radio or also to the cd-Changer..

Hi all,
So my Bluetooth dongle thing arrived and I tried to connect but I seem to be having some issues. When I pull out the blue/green/yellow plug as shown in pic and plug in the blue/green plug for the Bluetooth dongle, the CD changer still seems to work and I can’t workout what setting I need to put the headunit on to make it play music off my phone.
I think I have pulled out the wrong plug and connected the Bluetooth to the wrong place. Could somebody please offer some pearls of wisdom to help me get this thing to work? Many thanks!

Hi, look at the attachment in #7: only C-3 is for the CD-Changer, you only need to pull out the blue connector and put in the bt-connector

Thank you very much for pointing that out - the info was right there in front of me. Apologies. Ok so I will disconnect just the blue from the back of the headunit and will connect just the blue plug of the Bluetooth dongle to it.
I assume to connect to Bluetooth I press the CD changer button on the headunit (has a little picture of a CD on it)?
Thanks again! Such an excellent forum!

I have given this a go and it still doesn’t seem to work. Oddly enough when I had both the blue and green plugs from the BT dongle plugged in, the blue light on the dongle came on and the CD change still functioned. When I disconnect the factory blue plug and just connect the BT blue plug, the blue light on the dongle doesn’t come up and CD changer still works. So looks like it may need the green plug from the BT dongle also plugged in. Not sure if it makes a difference but my headunit is the Becker BE7801.
Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks

Brilliant!! Exactly what I needed - thank you so much.
That explains why it seemed to “work” with both plugs in but couldn’t work out how to make the headunit actually pick up my phone - that explains it! Will give it a go today - fingers crossed!! Thanks again

Ok that seemed to work! Thank you.
I can stream music from my phone - terrific. I will need to play around with it when I get some time to get the mic for the phone to work but what I really wanted was the music part so am really happy. Thanks again!
