Hi guys

I have a Quattrporte Sport GT S 4.7 and it was ordered with the chrome line option which chromed the window trim, door handles and exhaust tips.

I wish to remove the chrome and have the window trim and exhaust tips in black and the door handles in body colour as the car was sold standard in.

Can anybody advise the best way to do this and of any company they have had experience of dealing with that would be up to the job ?

Many thanks in advance.

The windows is easy...You can get it wrapped in black. Plenty of body shops/trimmers do this....Or you could get them sprayed of even changed over as I believe they just clip on but buying window trim from Maserati could be expensive.

Exhaust could be tricky as it gets hot and not sure if you could get that painted but sure someone could confirm.

Exhaust no problem, i've painted exhaust manifolds with UHT paint before.
Tricky to do though, to do it properly they need to come off!

In my youth (19) when I first bought my Stag, the exhaust needed replacing.
I bought a complete mild steel system from my local BL dealer and before fitting it, painted it WHITE!!
At the time, I remember seeing a racing Porsche with white exhaust, and thought it looked cool.
You can see the exhausts on the Stag under the boot floor, and I guess it did look cool, back then!

Was thinking of going the opposite way by adding a grill like this car on sale at meridian ;)

Alternative to UHT paint for exhaust is ceramic coating from likes of Camcoat. Used them several times for exhausts.

Thought UHT was a type of milk...that will make your exhaust pong more than a new Cat.

Thanks for the advice Andy but I did not want to go the wrapping route.
