Since the Quattroporte and GT share the same platform it is no real surprise they share some of the same issues such as the subframe rot.
Maybe the Quattroporte develops it more as it is more likely to be used year round in the salt?
I’d also be interested to hear of these school boy errors at recognised independents, it is very hard to find someone you can trust 100%
