Aftermarket paddle shifter options

I've been doing alot of reading online with regards to alternative paddle shifters options.

I'm not particularly interested in carbon, as my car has zero carbon and I'd really have to splash out on a carbon wheel (which are seriously expensive.) A set of larger aluminium ones would be ideal.

I can see from maseratilife that the shifters off a 458 will fit, but the guys that bought those, got them stupidly cheap and I'm seeing no such options.

It's been suggested on there that the paddles off a granturismo will work (with minor adjustments needed to the steering column cover). Has anyone tried?

I know from having fantastic shifters on my Alfa, how they transform the feel of the car, the OEM ones just feel so meh IMHO

Any ideas? Cheers

I’ve been looking at it, I think they might fit. Maybe try a set of stock Granturismo ones first.

Happy to make a pattern from my set to check.

They look beautiful.

I'm certainly looking into it.

Slight concern over access (ironically in my case) to the cruise control switches lol

The 458 paddles are a bit angular, would maybe suit the GS wheel better, whereas the GT paddles would look great IMHO

Thanks for the messages.

I will update on my progress, but it won't be until the middle of next month.
If it helps others decide

I read here that Stindig modelled the aluminium paddles on his carbon fibre set. Which do fit a 4200 as the fixings align perfectly. To do so you will need to lengthen the paddle slot in the lower cover to accommodate the shallower sweep of the arm.

These are Stindig paddles?
They look very similar as the Valence paddles from the US.
Any indication on pricing pls?

I got a set of FD Carbon paddles 2nd hand, and reckon they are probably the best mod iv done. The length of them is so-much better than standard, and the weave matches the GS carbon perfectly. If there is a cheaper option out there, id say its well worth investing the time.
