Air Compressor

Morning guys,
The fan belt on my 2005 QP snapped the other day, called the RAC, they had no info on the QP, in fact the make and model didn't even show on their laptops although other Maserati models did. Anyway, he sourced a belt, genuine he said and within 3 minutes of starting the engine it snapped again ...

Turns out the Air Compressor has gone. Spoke to Bob at compressortech to see if they can repair or rebuild it but since it's the later one he said he couldn't ... New part comes in a shy under £1000 (inc. vat + deliver) .....

Nothing on ebay .. Nothing at Eurospares .... Any other options guys you can think of?

Thanks

They are an expensive item, much the same as other Maser parts. You could ring around the breakers.......not sure if David Askew ( hope things still improving with David) has parts for a QP

Be absolutely sure its the correct compressor though

The problem you will have is if the aircon pipes are removed and the ports not plugged any scrap unit will seize within weeks and become totally useless.

You need to get one off a running or recently running car.
