Wow! Firstly, bin the missus as she sounds as wet as you are. Secondly, since when is an F Type a hairdressers car? No offence but, the fact you are thinking of buying a 4 pot Alfa says enough about you to render your opinion fairly fcking useless. Also, the fact you see V8 owners as dinosaurs, on a Maserati forum, marks you out as an oblivious, unthinking cnt.
I have tried and she refuses to leave! My opinion has always been useless. I said dinosaur burners not dinosaurs. If you feel like a dinosaur so be it. ;)

When 'conversing' with wokes like you, I do. Fortunately, at my time of life, I can ignore specious tw4ts and do my own thing, whereas you feel constrained by outside forces. Good on you, you now blend in seamlessly with the less fortunate in society. My advice; buy an electric pushbike and carry on with your meaningless existence.

I changed my mind. I am going for a 2litre hybrid Velar. Or maybe a Renault 4

Sounds about right sooo, good luck. Just wondering; have you ever considered brushing your teeth with a pistol, or trying to fly off a tower block? If not, perhaps you should.

Cheers Benny. I have an old flint lock 10 gauge. Would that suffice?

I guess so. Just as long as you don't f*ck up your aim. However, before you do, try the Samaritans; they'll do what they can to save such wasters.

Other than the noise the V6 makes there is little to merit the extra cost over the 2.0TS IMO, the extra weight over the front doesn't help turn in and the power lights up the front wheels and created even more understeer. The 2.0TS is sharper in the corners and on the twisty bits is not that much slower than the V6. The Alfa spider is not the most dynamic ragtop but it is a nice place to be in the summer and as you sit well down so there is a lot less wind buffeting than some.

Personally the P1 is my preference with a manual roof (quick and simple to operate) but I would be happy with a nice P2, just find a good one I have always found P1s seem to suffer less with rot than the later models for some reason.

I had a rare spider 2lit V6 T.B with modified suspension, anti roll bar and breaks, in Greece long time ago.
Great car, no comparison with the T.S that a friend had.
I would definitely go for a busso.

A friend owns a GTV V6 TB with the 2 litre busso turbo as mentioned by @CT3200GT and it was a really fun car to drive.
Before getting the GS, I looked into getting a Spider V6 TB and had a hard time finding one, and the good ones commanded quite a bit of money on this side on the pond. I'm guessing that's still the case.
In any case, lovely cars - I hope you find a good one and enjoy it!

On a separate note, I still blame my Alfa 156 for being the gateway drug that caused me to buy the GS  (and looking at some people's signatures, I'm not the only one)

A friend had one from new. Loads of issues and have it back in the end. Not massive issues but like you dash lights and a shed load of electrical issues. Silly things like the windscreen wipers worked one day and not the next and they never could fix it….

Love my 2001 Busso 916 Spider, complete with obligatory loud Wizzard Exhaust, sounds fantastic and no drone!

The Busso really is a delight, pulls without complaint from 1500 RPM in 6th, yet zings to the 7000rpm limiter sounding great in the process.

A few upgrades such as a short shift kit, Koni Sport dampeners, strut brace, GTA flywheel etc have made it slightly better to drive.

It's a bit **** technically, but it's one of the most fun car's I've had and is brimming with character and looks great with the top down.

For me the PH2 is the best looking....
