I’ve not noticed anyone here look down on them. Personally I think they’re epic.
What attracts you to replace the one you have now with the newer model? (Other than the usual new car blah blah?)
Thanks, I see all of the positive comments when I scroll up, perhaps I was a bit hasty.
I think it was the "but it's not a Maserati" which is isn't, and when I first got the car and still regularly visiting this forum a guy was arguing that his 400bhp Ghibli was "probably just as fast and it's a Maserati"
Ironically I've been toying with the idea of getting a very late Granturismo, maybe even a Stradale!!
The Ghibli Trofeo has an epic engine but looks quite off the pace otherwise, but if it was available at a bargain price it could prove tempting.
Main reason I'm looking to replace is that my warranty expires next March, having had the car since March 2017 and used prices are just silly at the moment.
I could sell it for a good price used and then order a new one for 16.5-18% discount on the Affinity scheme which makes it not to much to change.
Might be a gap in ownership of 2-3 months but I have other cars I can use in the interim.
Then I'd be sorted with another 5 years of ownership.
The new cars don't have a standard carbon roof and probably are a little heavier, plus maybe a GPF on the very latest ones, but folding rear seats, more tech and slightly more refinement would be welcome.
I really hope they haven't goosed up the steering, I posted on the Facebook owners group and 90% say they haven't. It does feel bloody perfect the way it is on the current one!
