I agree with Nick and Andyk

As long as the less hot models are still class leading and relatively affordable I think it will do well

Makes lots more sense than a 4C for an old bugger like me...least you dont have go to the gym twice a week to try and get in and out the thing!

Seriously though, I really hope it succeeds.. we need a proper Alfa again after all these years of front wheel drive tosh..

I like it to, looking at it from the point of view as a daily driver and an alternative to 3 series or other compact exec.

Still not growing on me.

May change once seen in the metal.

Totally different cars but IMO, the Alfieri looked absolutely drop dead gorgeous from the moment they released it. As did most Masers.

lol Very Good Matt. :)

On the article, lot of respect for Marchionne. Very shrewd businessman who seems to understand Alfa's traditional core values. Lightweight. Performance orientated. Absolutely love what Alfa are doing with the Giulia from an engineering standpoint.

IMO, The car certainly seems a technical Tour de Force.

Major credit to him for getting together the right people and the right process to achieve that end.

Indeed dont get me wrong i have huge respect for the engineering underneath just cant get past the sell out that happened in the product design.

The base model does look ok a little better which isn't hard really but still no Alfa bloodline.

They need to get the engineering right straight out of the box. Hope they've learned their lessons from the poor reviews the 4C has had. On the styling you've only got to look at the new Jaguar XE which is also pretty conservative. Unfortunately, most of these cars aren't sold to people like us who don't mind standing out a little. They idea is to prize the non thinkers out of their German metal.

Having said all that, I suspect it will look better in reality and I'd rather buy this than a BMW.

Its strange Andy how this car has divided opinion in the Alfa fraternity.

Its a real love it or hate it.

Bit harsh Matt !
I cant see the ugliness that some of you do. Not saying I love it (do love what the performance is likely to be), but I think it's looks are above a pass.
