Alternator replacement - Granturismo

Battery light started flashing this morning, then stayed on permanently
I’m guessing it’s time to replace the alternator as after a volt meter check across the battery it was only showing 12v when running

Any advice on how to or where to buy and replace myself or is this a job for the specialist garage ?
I’m competent with the spanner’s but it looks like it’s in a difficult place to access

Plenum intake and injectors and fuel rails off.

Lots of small clips and open orifices into the engine.

Aux belt off.

It’s not too difficult just quite involved and the potential to drop something into the engine.

Do not bother getting the old one recon, I’ve seen them fail within a few months and one catch fire.

Go new only.
