Problem is Pet's code isn't on the list. 14 is, 114 is not.
14 is particularly unhelpful a description as well.

I already changed the air-recirculation motor!!! A big job for a 40£ part!!! Mine had the motor arm broken although the motor was working fine.
I will check during my next service the code for my "E" at start up. In my case it never comes up after that and everything is working perfectly so I was thinking it was just part of the initial start up process.

E is displayed as a fault with the system. E on start up whilst the engine is cranking may be low battery voltage, the car sets the air con automatically when starting to air distribution floor, air mixing warmest, air recirculation port outside, compressor engaged. E displayed then after a short time the outside temp been displayed sounds like a sticking air flap motor code 55, 65 or 75. My display has only two digits, AA listed as self diagnostic finished error code 14 is tt1 sensor. A white coloured mixed air temperature sensor in the upper part of the air distribution housing. Values for the sensor are 42.326 ohm at -5 deg C, 32,650 at 0deg C, 19.899 at 10 deg C, 12.492 at 20 deg C and 8.057 at 30 deg C. It may only be a dash top off to gain access to fix. If the outside temp sensor has failed (the little pip under the drivers side mirror) try one from an Alfa 166, the whole mirror pod thing looks the same, mirror glass, plastic cover and plug in connectors, motors etc. I will get part numbers if you want. So today I was out driving and got the "E" again. Best I can tell it is heat related. Had the car parked in the sun for a while. Got in and the temp read about 93f. AC fans started blowing slowly then about 4 minutes late they started blowing hard and about 5 seconds later the E came on. Maybe 10 minutes later as I got to where it cooled out, the temp came back reading 75 and was fine from then on. Check engine light never came on.
