America election

Generally agree with the above and also it is a kick up the establishment's ar**.
If elected chaps do not do what the people that voted them in want then they reap the consequences. The same is true for Brexit.
If Theresa etc do not perform they will be out.
Has the penny dropped for them yet

A few of the Trump policies:

Income tax zero below $25k earnings
Business tax rate to 15%
Multinational corporations to repatriate overseas cash at 10% tax rate (currently prohibitively expensive to bring money back to the USA)
Deporting illegal immigrants asap
Limiting further immigrants
Overhaul of veteran healthcare
Repeal Obamacare and replace with some sort of cover for everyone ('Mercuns currently really upset by huge hikes in Obamacare monthly fees)
Raise Federal Minimum Wage from $7.25

.... and we wonder why the red-neck / working class have voted Republican? The bloke's a fruitcake, but the promises he's made have clearly hit their target, regardless of whether or not he will be able to deliver them.

Can't wait to see him weighing in on the Brexit situation - I suspect the UK and USA will have a trade deal in place by mid-2017.

Buy sterling now.

C
NopeGents, as I outlined earlier on this year you should be buying Gold/silver!,
first Brexit, second Trump...next Italy next month....4th December

This year.
Gold up 43% in GBP so far.
Silver up 57.1% in GBP so far.

The masses are ****** off and are voting with their feet against the establishment and corrupt political status quo.
Sterling could go 1-1 with the usd$ As Europe will punish the Uk for trying to leave as a deterrent to others not to follow the same path.

We can assist and mates rates are available

If he delivers on that then great......its what we need over here, a promise thats been delivered but doubt it.....

From Greece and Cyprus's point of view, its not bad news....hes allies with Russia and Russia have always shown/told Turkey to back off certain things with Cyprus, USA have always been pro Turkey, how would that work now?
Surely more onboard with resolving the "Cyprus problem" than ever before.

Cyprus's (like most of Southern Europe) problem is the Euro...expect that to disintegrate next.

That's like a 10 year old Christmas wish list!

His campaign has been well thought out, don't try and win voters, just get the ones you already have to actually go out and vote and it's worked perfectly

I bet many of the people that voted for him haven't cast a vote in decades.

Like mick says what will the working class be doing in 20 years , no shops, all online, instead of 10 staff per shop x 1000 it'll be an automated warehouse with trucks delivering

My example for how things have changed is the music CD

CD /case/label insert card manufactured , packed, transported, wholesaled, transported, retailed for £10 , how many jobs there nationwide that have gone , woolies, our price, andys records, all nationwide chains put out of business by the mp3

Music Download £6, straight in a corporations pocket then they declare their accounts in usbeckistan because they say there's no physical product so they pay little or no tax .

Here, Here, Ignore the masses at your peril, as both UK and now US have found out, there`s only so much people will put up with, who knows what the future holds, but this could work out well for the UK.
Fully agree with your analysis, the past thirty-forty years has seen a complete destruction of what held the working class together in both the US and the U.K., where once there were good jobs and a sense of community there now lies **** jobs, **** wages with no security and they are surrounded by economic migrants willing to work for a pittance, live ten to a house and then send their wages home!

They've been squeezed and squeezed that much that these are the type of results you get and the people who are surprised are the ones who lazily call the people who voted for a megalomaniac like Trump "racists" and "xenophobes" while completely missing the point.

Many may disagree with that but I'm afraid it's true and the results back it up.

Talking about changes in CD's etc......Can someone who KNOWS tell me why on the business estate where our business is located there is a skip where all of the units put rubbish into a "communal" skip. Imagine my surprise when I was putting rubbish in it last week that there were literally thousands (and I mean thousands) of the latest DVD game "Battlefield 1" and just a few days later "Football Manager 2017", again in their thousands. The only thing that I could see that was missing was the code, all the 5 discs were still in their cases of Battlefiels 1.
What is this all about? Why is all this new stuff just being thrown in a skip?
Sorry if this is a bit off track.

I don't know but I'd hazard a guess at it being something to do with unsold shop returns , my son has all the latest games on his PC but through steam, fast broadband and 2TB hard drives mean almost no waiting for any software these days, it's a goldmine for the game makers, they must be making a fortune as there's nothing for anyone to make any money on apart from them.

the kids are happy, they shave a few quid off the asda price and don't have to leave their sweaty bedrooms to go and het it

A plane was about to crash. There were 4 passengers on board, but only 3 parachutes.

The 1st passenger said, "I'm Dwayne Johnson, The Rock, actor and superstar. Millions of fans adore me and watch my movies and they need me, and I can't afford to die." So he took the 1st pack and left the plane.

The 2nd passenger, Donald Trump said, "I am the newly-elected U.S. President, and I am the smartest President in American history, so my people don't want me to die." He took the 2nd pack and jumped out of the plane.

The 3rd passenger, the Pope, said to the 4th passenger, a 10 year old schoolboy, "My son, I am old and don't have many years left, you have many more years ahead so I will sacrifice my life and let you have the last parachute."

The little boy said, "That's okay, Your Holiness, there's a parachute left for you, America's smartest President took my satchel"

Perhaps next time we have an election in America, we should check with you Brits to see who we should vote for. I mean really, who do we think we are, electing the candidate we wanted and not the one you wanted?

Or maybe you might just learn eventually to disregard the U.S. Liberal Media and its 50 year bias against conservative values and common sense. The Obama experiment is over and it will not be lamented. We gave it a shot and indeed it might have worked out, but sadly he turned out to be all narcissism and self indulgence. Now back to work in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

P.S. Happy Birthday to the U.S. Marine Corps, modeled after the Royal Marines and 241 years old today.

Thats very true Lee. Perhaps Mr Obama and Mr Trump should have had the same thought in their heads when the UK were voting on Brexit. They didnt seem to care too much what the UK people wanted as long as they could throw threats and scare tactics out there and stamp there feet if the people of the UK didnt vote the way they wanted. :)

People have just had enough of the current systems in countries round the world. Candidates that promise the most radical changes on hot topics are going to win mass support and votes/elections.

Italy has a constitution vote in December and then Germany and France have elections next year followed by Italy. There is the potential for extremist parties to gain strong backing across europe which is unlikely to end well for anybody.

The people of the USA voted and the result is Trump will be the 45th President. Thats the will of the people and im sure you will all stand by the results. A week is a long time in politics and 4 years could be great or seem like a life time. Time will tell.
