And another...

I decided to add another Maserati to the collection today, so I've had to amend my signature for the second time in a week. A happy chore!

No pictures yet, but as I'm sure you'll have guessed, it is indeed blue. Victory Blue.

I wasn't really looking, and the car wasn't advertised anywhere. The owner had hardly used it over the last 6 years, averaging less than 500 miles over year. So I think he came to the conclusion that he may as well sell it and I happened to be in the right place at the right time. I could hardly turn the opportunity down, considering I did quite fancy a GS anyway, and the chance to buy 1 of only 15 UK MCV versions doesn't pop up very often.

It needs a big service and some tlc, but it'll soon be back at its best. All being well I'll take it to Prescott for the club AGM/Concours.

Looking forward to seeing it at the AGM. I took black MCV last year to the concours but a stunning Bianco Fuji GS won. A blue MCV hasn't been for sale for more than 2 years, possibly longer so its a rare find. I think there are around 8 blues, a few silvers and blacks in the UK. Looking at the register most MCV's seem to be in long term ownership and stored for the longer term.

Hmmm.... So who sold?

It was fairly local to me, near the Dorset/Somerset border. He'd had the car from when it was a year old, used it regularly for the first 2 years but then hardly at all. As far as I can tell it was not a car known within the Maserati Club or the SM Forum, so it's nice to be bringing it in from the cold, so to speak.

Here's a picture. Well....I don't know if it's my actual car, but it's the same spec, colour, etc.
