It's got SYNTHESISED pops and bangs? That's absurd.

Why do they do this, and how do they do this. I read that some play exhaust noises through speakers, that's just pathetic.

(I'd definitely rather your V12)

The new Vantage was such a ball's up. They went from one of the most beautifully classic looking cars, to something resembling a bottom-feeder from the outside with an interior not befitting a luxury machine.

Sorry, i worded that badly. I'm sure the pops and bangs are authentic, but they feel feigned.

Fair enough. Was the F Type where they actually played noises in the cabin?

What's the world coming to!

Some Audis and Bimmers play it through the speakers, I think. Awful! Imagine opening the window and the volume goes down.

Had a Kia Stinger on rent last year... had an active exhaust speaker under the drivers seat!

I like that .....Very elegant. But then also I wasn't also offended by the original.....I think the new roadster addressed the issues of the first grill and works very well indeed.

No don't believe the F Type was one of those that played the noise in the cabin. Just did a search and nothing came up and to be honest if you have heard the V6 and V8 from outside there is no need to do that. BMW i8 was one that did.

Yeah, agreed Andy, the F-type V6 and V8 sound perfectly fine with artificial augmentation.

To be honest, the new vantage sounds ok as well, but it's a muted turboed noise with pops and bangs that must have taken some serious effort to create. Bloody good for a non-N/A engine, but even my wife, who has no interest in cars, preferred the sound of my V12. And to give her aural tastes some credit, she preferred the GTS over that.

They will have set the fuelling up specifically to sound like a 10 year old Uno Turbo that’s been Halforded, it’s the fashion. I think I’m becoming a curmudgeon, every time an AMG or 135i or Focus RS farts it’s way around town I think ******. I’ve not heard one of the latest turbo Ferraris but I bet it’s kitted up from the TurboTecnics catalogue too.
