12 years time and somthing like this will be keeping me busy and stop me chasing the students in short skirts when retired.

Note that the seller says he bought it with a friend to do up, yet the end of the posts list it as a classic spares sale...too much work/cost to get it right????

I assume the delightful S...knows nothing of your retirement aspirations.........................

Yup, they are a bit more to bite off then normal...plus an engine rebuild cost can be huge!

S insist..." a man needs a hobby or he has an affair" So she is quite happy for me to lok at Auto trader etc all day long.

Real hope is to buy one of those little country mansions you see in France, convert the stables into B&B have a garage with 4-6 classics cars MGB's, E Type, Alfa Spyder, etc & run classic car touring holidays from there...thats if my pension rights stay as they are...No doubt the rules will change and the fact that I have had a s**t goverment wage for 40 years will not be compensated by having a decent pension by the end of the working life!!! now I've got myself all wound up!
