Hello All, having bought my facelift 4200 a month ago or so ago, I thought I'd best introduce myself. Having got into trouble years ago with my car addiction, I agreed to keep it real and make this purchase a daily driver!
Having read all there is to read, and particularly benefiting from all of the collective wisdom in this forum, I bought the 4200. Intending to buy a manual for all of the city driving I do in and around Edinburgh, I ended up with a CC!!
So far so good. I'm finding the CC gearbox fine and it seems to cope with traffic no problem at all - just need to be "sympathetic."
Having recently sold my M135i, I can honestly say that the masser is an inspiration and in my opinion right up there performance wise with the 135 and the 996 I had before that.
Anyway, It would be great to connect with other Scottish forum members and thanks for all of the advice so far and the opportunity to participate in the brake disc group buy.

Welcome along flex, the 42 cc is a good undervalued car, I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with her! Get some pics up.

Hi Flexwing
I also have just joined too! I have also bought a 4200 facelift (but with a manual gearbox) about 6 months ago and I love it because they are real subtle headturners and make a fantastic noise. I have also had a 996 along with an Audi S4 Cabriolet. The Audi was fantastic and I regret selling it but the 996 I was glad to see the back of!! If I didn't sell the Audi then I could not of got the 4200 so I am still happy that I made the change.

I look forward to sharing advice and chats with all the other members as well as buying some bits that I may well need in the future (like a black leather gear stick gator)

Welcome to the forum Stuart. That's a great choice you've made with the 4200 and a great colour. Nice Aston too :)

Thanks Lee
Took me almost a year to find the right one as the manuals are so rare! The Aston is my brother's (him in the picture)...........Still playing 'Top Trumps' against each other!!
Yours looks very nice..........Is it a Gransport?

The 4200 IMO certainly beats the Aston :) . Yes, mine is a Gransport in Grigio Touring (Silver), I was lurking in the background on the forum for quite some time, until i found the one that was right for me. I viewed some good and bad cars but finally took the plunge in April. This forums great, a good bunch of knowledgeable helpful people. I find myself daily signing into the forum now.

The gentleman I bought my 4200 from was a 78 year old man who was selling it as he had just purchased a newer GranSport!! I take my hat off to him!!
It is a fantastic looking car and sounds awesome............Well done, I know another Stuart in Warrington who is breaking a GranSport if you ever need spares (07860446039). Yes, I kissed a few frogs before this one.

Thanks again Lee!
