Mondial was always my goto Ferrari as a youngster. Guess I prefer 4 seaters!I love these and was very close to buying one before I decided on the Testarossa, had a mint condition Grigio 1986 Ferrari Mondial already plus the others inc. Maserati GC…. love the wedge shape of the Dino 308GT.
This example seems a bit overpriced though and with high mileage, so wouldn’t be an investment…
I know, I know - it 'doesn't have enough cylinders' and isn't a 'proper' Ferrari but these Bertone gems have long been a favourite of mine, my post being prompted by this '75 example appearing for sale on my doorstep....

It’s got stick on Ferrari chav shields but is a 1975 car, they weren’t badged as Ferrari until 1976 ☹
Away to chisel mine off Then the C pillar tridents off the 3200. Oh wait a minute they are my cars so will do as I please lol.The chav shields shouldn’t be on anything unless it’s run by Scuderia Ferrari. But they’re not Ferrari exclusive they ran Alfas in the early days, modified Lancias in the 50s and Dinos in the 60s
I had a look at prices and they seem to be dropping back a bit. I imagine some parts are getting a little difficult to find by now. They are a marmite car (I loved mine), they are fantastic handling and took mine on the Belgium Spa circuit straight after restoration.
For that money I’d rather have a Mondial, particularly the T … it’s a far prettier 2+2 with updated mechanics.
[/QUOTEMy brother bought this Mondial T in 2017. It’s not quick in modern terms, but he still thinks it’s a great drive. It shares a garage with an insanely quick Evora GTE.For that money I’d rather have a Mondial, particularly the T … it’s a far prettier 2+2 with updated mechanics.
Blimey I was a member of CCC too, in fact I nearly bought the Woking franchise when it went for sale as I was spending a lot of time there. That was probably a good decision not too! They had a white LHD 308GTB and a red RHD plus the GT4 (which I helped change the belts on!). I have a photo somewhere of me filling the Aston Vantage from two pumps at the same time on either side, also one of the Virage pissing petrol over Chiswick High Street as the tank was leaking. When I was a member of the Classic Car Club in the early noughties I had a 308GTB for the weekend, it was incredibly slow and the speedo over read by about 20 mph at 70, but still an occasion to drive. They also had a 308GT4 which I had actually booked but was broken. That car went on to be the Wheeler Dealers car above. Always liked the GT4 more than the GTB.

Pity the poor member that totalled the Lamborghini Silouette and had to explain whilst figuring out how to pay the hugue insurance excess. I personally always wanted to drive the Jensen Interceptor but it was always broken!

Totally agree but a straightforward car to work on and exceptionally fun to drive.Never a fan of the Mondial always looked out of proportion to me but each to their own
