I 100% agree. Under such awful circumstances (which are only set to get a lot worse before they get better) UKG is trying to pull every conceivable rabbit out of the hat to help both individuals and businesses to keep 'UKPLC' working to best that they can. I actually think both Borris and particularly Rishi Sunnak are handling this very well and I have never seen a Chancellor who has such a well versed and deep understanding of the economic impact of this crisis.....and a fantastic communicator. Definitely a future Prime Minister in the making.

Rishi Sunak will without a doubt be the next Tory PM after Boris.
I do note Labour have been absolutely silent though the last week.
I guess that speak volumes about Corbyn.

I said the same to the wife today, Sunak's speech, was a speech of a future PM .

Labour- Not silent, I wish they were. After every announcement Borris makes, one of 'em moans about it not being good enough.... or what about the unemployed...etc...

Absolutely grips my sh^t, that all they can do is moan! If there's ever been a time that political parties should be supporting each other and working together, its now. Grow up you childish cnuts and think of the big picture!:mad:

Well said that man.
People will soon realise, eventually, that in no point in this generations existence,
WE ARE IN IT TOGETHER, to sit on the side and snipe is just not helpful,
Decisions will be made, right or wrong, they get made on the evidence available at the time. The crime is not making decisions.
One part of me still can’t understand why people who lead businesses / industry etc stand behind the “we are waiting for government guidance”. I didn’t wait to start buying extra on our weekly shop 8 weeks ago. I started planning....

Au contraire, that is exactly racist. There are more pics of whites stockpiling than Asians that I’ve seen. Despite people circulating the Asian ones more to talk about evil corner shop owners. Maybe you’re just assuming the whites don’t own corner shops? Would that be a racist assumption?

No certainly not if its statistically correct ................................ i sense a little bit of your typical Jo Swinson type millenial in there somehow.....................but there again i could be wrong

I think you might do the leg work that informs opinion before y'all go soft, patting the virtual backs of a politik that has made more u-turns, and talked more boll0x than I care to remember in over 50 years on the planet.
The Tories are all about reducing state...and yet they are forced to turn red and play the socialists tune...W4nker5...utterly talentless cretins who have just run into the wall of ambition outweighing ability..
Brexit- what Brexit ?

How you all getting on with the hand washing ?

View attachment 67135

I have always had a thing with hand washing and as a result suffered with painfull cracked skin on my knuckles for years. Tried various products and found that this paw paw vaseline stuff works like magic compared to everything else. Works much better than vaseline that costs a fraction but irritates my skin

Glad you all like the Chancellors words as did I. My good friend advised them on most of the measures and how to implement them so I had some incline as to what was happening. Quite how we will afford all of it I don’t know!

Sort the rich and their tax avoidance out , **** amazon etc , if they don't pay tax here they don't trade here

Somebody on the radio made a good point , they should immediately set up a system where they pay in cash like a pension to everybody's bank account , not means tested , everybody , a huge proportion of the population need money now

By the time jobs for the boys have sorted out who needs it the most people will be dead plus it'll probably cost more due to admin

This is people's lives , they don't want to be tested or prodded by a doctor.

We're meant to be one of the richest countries in the world so the top % of the population with most of the money need to pay a lot more , we don't need billionaires

Think of it this way , if your not alive you dont have to pay for it , if your alive along with your loved ones then no amount is too much , perhaps once all the smoke and mirrors have dicipated we will make the Chinese CCP pay for it , either by boycotting there goods and increase our independance by self manufacturing , or we place extremely high tarrifs and use that income towards offsetting this huge cost ,

Just thinking out loud about how much money a self employed person will get in the handout. It is my understanding that it will be based on HMRC tax returns from previous years.
So those "black economy" and "do it for this amount if it's cash" self employed people who have sent in dodgy low tax returns for years are going to sh1t out.
I don't think I am missing anything am I?
Sympathy, none!

Surely the sign of a good government is to do what's best for the country in a time of need like we've never seen before, a global crisis that is gonna kill some of us.

They've had to adapt. And yes they've had to adapt to socialist policies regardless of getting egg on their face, to save lives!

I for one one :clapps:that.
Might not be doing everything right, but their doing their best and I doubt anyone else would do any better.
