I have one of the NOCO ones - 7ltr engine version, but I struggling to attach it to the positive terminal - there does seem any free metal to attach it it to.

Anyone assist me?

Are you attaching it to the battery or under the bonnet ?
The battery should suffice to start it.

If it’s got one of those plastic covered multi-way/fuse jobbies on the battery. The top cover usually comes off it.

Well I bought it as a fail back for when I eventually drive back to Belgium, just testing it. Battery is connected, and was nearly flat when I tried it, this being a QP5 batter is in OSR wing and not exactly and lot of space there. Just couldn't fine anything to grip the red croc clip to. It's non detachable too and quite large.

That's off, need a new one I think, clip broken!

This is it, not a lot of room or decent metal to grip.....

Hmm, looks like plenty of space there. I'd just jam it on. It's only for a couple of seconds

I’ve got one & just stick it on any nut as they are all on the + terminal.
Sounds painful! I'm also attaching the leads for c-tek, the ones in the pic are a naff Halfords ones for a charger for up to 2ltr engines - missed that on the box, and the battery monitor I just bought. I got batt-o-fear.....

I have mine on a c-tek charger and have the connector permanently attached just poking out from the battery compartment- clip it it when not using the car for more than a week - brilliant!!
