I thought we were risking taking the AGM thread off topic so how about continuing the Auction/Jaguar XK thread here

To kick off here is my father's XK120 (which he had from new at the time) outside another one of the great homes of Berkshire

No I am not that old lol! I was born in 1969.

The house in the background was owned by one of my dad's closest friends (he was best man at both my dad's wedding etc.,..) and it is his son sitting in the car.

Gorgeous car. My dad had a XK140 coupe, British Racing Green, WPK64 (IIRC). Sold it around the mid '80s to a man named Gethin Morgan Jones - a name that has stuck with me for some reason - for about 3k (again, IIRC) and in need of a lot of restoration by then. The bloody thing had disintegrated over a two year period while we were out of the UK, in the days before proper storage.
