Just back home after the holiday weekend, hence the late post.

Great event as usual but disappointed that I saw only one couple I knew in all the milling throngs!!
There are a few Pix here but they're not particularly special and there's an onboard video of the dry run up the test hill and return loop to the back of the queue which give a bit of the atmosphere of the event at
The second run was in the wet (weather as predicted in my last reply).
This run was much as expected. - Stood still at 6000 rpm at the start, wheelspin all the way up so for entertainment I tried to play a patriotic tune with the throttle on the way up and it maxed at about 65 kph by the summit so braking was hardly required at the top.
Obviously quite different to the previous run in the dry where I lost most of the fillings in my teeth and stole some of the track surface on the way up.

A few of the general photos:View attachment 36107View attachment 36108View attachment 36109

Finding the above very deep scratch in the middle of the drivers door panel of the GTV (at walking hand height) when I went to collect it for the hillclimb was disappointing to say the least.
My first 2 litre had been 'keyed' before I bought it and this looks to have been a similar event :(

Just to completely 'Hiss me off' following this I trotted into Tesco on the way home to buy a kettle and was publicly humiliated by a security weasel right in the main entrance. He seemed to think that I had stolen it. You can tell that they're back into profit 'cos their old bullying methods are back. so yes, let's use their car park freely as a meeting point but enter the store at your own risk - but perhaps they just concentrate on pensioners, believing them all to be confused and senile!
I've now got to write a very strong letter to their Senior Management demanding compensation for the embarrassement caused by the crass way they addressed a non-existant problem, anyone got any ideas?? :)

Yep but none of the Ghibli, photgrapher said it was being driven too slowly. :D

FFS its 50 years old :firing7:. The personality of a car is more important than the specs...

It's the next thing I'm having done.
Let me know who you decide to use as I desperately need to sort out the geometry for the lemans trip , I carnt believe people are paying £500 to set these cars up , that's stupid money . That's like 7 hours labour ,really !
