Battery Drain

Advice needed please I did a 200 mile plus drive on the Saturday and two driveway start stops Sunday to move some cars around at home. Today the battery has failed to hold a charge and the Ctek says it's at level three does the cold have an affect on these? Or unless used daily should they always be kept on the Ctek, yes the tracker is active but I was under the impression they had their own internal battery and shouldn't pull power from the main vehicle battery?

Thank you for the experts input

My 4200 sat in the garage for 3 weeks and started 1st time and I believe my tracker is still active.

At least I get the beep that says its on after start up.

Dave

Edit - I do not at the moment have a CTEK - One on its way though.

No idea - the 1st time I drove it, about 4 seconds after I started it there was a beep, I asked Dickie what it was and he said tracker - bit unnerving sometimes as it goes off right as putting it in reverse. One thing I did notice yesterday was a very low pitched noise - sort of like those you get when you do an audio test which happened when I was transitioning at 2 roundabouts, ie, just changed down and coasting/covering brake before entering roundabout, as soon as back on the loud peddle it went.

In my QP I start it and the infotainment kicks in (I do not turn it off when I stop the car)
A few seconds later when all has started up there is a louder one off beep
I assume this is the tracker?
Been doing it since I bought the car, just nice to know what on earth it is!

If you're on your original battery Phil, it may have just reached the end of it's life - these cars are pretty brutal on batteries

Inside two years thats how old it is (factory supplied unit), wow! I'll ask an local indie car parts store to run a free battery check too but I'll leave on the Ctek for a few days.

At least if it is the battery, it should still be under warranty but 2 years would be a poor return
