What sort of price are replacement batteries - I'm seeing between £150 and £350! at Eurocarparts for a 95 Ah battery

Don’t forget the discount.

Any of the 019s and not the 334s.

Get one with a decent cranking current (cca) Eb, the higher the better in our climate.
So it looks like this one's the one to get then?

Possibly, but have a look at Tayna; they supplied me an EA1000 for a lot less, I think it's an 017 rather than an 019 but I'd have to check. They're usually very competitive and give excellent service. ECP is expensive, but it's easier to exchange a dud battery with them if you get a bad one.

Have a look at the Exide batteries. You should be able to get a higher rated Ah and CCA rated battery from the Exide premium range VS the Bosch silver for around £35 less depending where you buy from.

Exide are still a premium brand made by johnson controls and carry a long guarantee.

I went for Exide also, brilliant batteries, bought from Tanya. Great cold cranking power. Have used Exide in all previous cars including XKR, Range Rover etc,

I went Bosch S5 013 from carparts4less which is eurocarparts but cheaper. You can then click and collect fron Eurocaroarts and save 5-10%. They try to make you go eurocarparts by saying that with carparts4less you have to wait 24hrs, however I find that the shop does not distinguish at all even with order-in items.
my battery cost £129 about 2 months ago.

I would recommend buying from somewhere local, that way if there is an issue return and replacement is much much more straightforward.
100% agree. I committed a sin and bought mine from Halfrauds because it was the only place which had one in stock the next day. It failed after 2yrs, however I had a new replacement in January this year. The guy came out, didn't bother testing it and just put a new one in for me under warranty.
