Thanks guys for the great day at Beaulieu, nice sun and great day out with the families too.

Dan, shame you lost out on the top spot, but it was to a Maserati....what can I say.

Made some new friends too, Darren, GranCab has just joined up, smashing bloke, I liked his Prius story...he drops a couple of gears and floor it past them, whilst waving and saying, thanks for saving some carbon for me!!!!

Well done guys....looked a great day.......2nd to a Merak Dan....aint too bad!

P

3rd in fact! To the Merak, then an Alfa 4c (original, not the yet to be built car). Both very worthy adversaries.
Fortunately I beat the Fiat Panda in 4th!! I'm yet to get the full story on that car, but I believe it was some kind of Arctic expedition spec?

Still not convinced that the paying public would have voted for a Fiat Panda for "Car of the Show" regardless of it's story, especially considering he made it to the final line up last year as well....

As it was local, Meridien Modena had a display at Beaulieu. They has this GTS there:

The sales guy didn't have a clue what the colour was, although people kept asking as it was very attractive. Photos don't show it well, but I thought it was a very nice paint colour in the metal. Extra Campionario - don't see very many. (But as to the car, I'll stick with my QP S thanks :) )

Thanks for the pictures Dan. Looks like it was a good day and topped off with an award no less! Third to those two, given you have a modern era car, it testament to the regard in which the Balboni is held, and the quality of yours in particular. Well done! :D

Cheers Miles :D (where's the blushing smilely?)

The detailing definitly did the trick... Just need to get it done again to get all the hand prints off now!
Why do people insist on touching?? Although, I got off lightly compared to the 458 owner that had a kid in a Chelsea top hugging the car, sliding up and down the side of it!!

On that note...How's the Porsche getting on? Ready for the Range Rover yet?
(Do I need to bring a ladder?) ;)

I witnessed you cringe whilst the parents looked on, scrotes.

I was up on the monorail an noticed 3 orientals posing next to my car and one was leaning on the wing, I felt like shouting at him from up on the monorail but was urged to refrain from Mrs C!

Also have a multitude of hand prints all over it, could contact the local police and get the culprits identified :-o

Lol Porsche is finished Dan, was done yesterday. You can bring it over for the swap whenever but can't start the Rangie till late next week, got this beast I'm currently working on this week and then a New Car Detail on a RCZ Friday, a Focus RS mon-wed next week then can start the Rangie.
