Basically, if a replacement part is of OE standard, or above, they are not supposed to be able to use this as a reason to refuse a warranty claim. It's all laid down in an EU regulation known as Block Exemption. HOWEVER, myself and several other members have first hand experience of maserati and ferrari warranties and so I would be careful. The letter of the law protects you but if they chose to act outside of that, you have to consider what's involved with the argument. In the end, my issue was resolved and I was partly to blame but it could have been resolved in a much more effective and swift fashion.
