Have you got a hifi at home , just buy a bluetooth adapter then stream spotify from your phone , that's what I'm doing now
The one I'm using is an audioengine B1 , I'm sure cheaper ones are available

As above ...

UE Megaboom is best combination of sound quality and battery life etc if you want portable.

If you are happy to plug in, Amazon Echo is easy to use and offers ok sound quality at the price point.

Apple HomePod and Apple Music if you have bought into the Apple ecosystem. Cheap, no, quality, absolutely. Old adage, you get what you pay for.

They are about £300 and Apple Music about £8 a month. WiFi connected so it’s “hey Siri” and just tell it what track you want. No need to connect a phone or any other external advise to drive it = simple.

Sound quality is stunning.

You then have the option to add more homepods that you can pair together (stereo) or leave in different rooms as repeaters or stand alone players.

Portable, yes but you will need connection and power.
