Paint looks like a candy red metallic...doubt it came from the factory like that.

Very nice, I wonder if we'll ever see the likes of these prices with current cars, say in 20 years that'll be a in the high hundreds of thousands and today's cars will be 80-100k

Or has it all just moved up a notch so tomorrow's classics will only be ferraris and Astons

I have always loved the Bora. It seems that can you ask your own price for them nowadays.

Supply and demand Darren. The cars in the 70s were made in the 100s rather than the tens of thousands as now. In addition cars from the 50/60/70 were only good for 50k miles so few were used as they are today...other thing to note qas the owners in the past were captains of industry, playboys and Princes' etc... nowadays anyone can get on on a PCP.

In fairness it does say the only one THEY know of in Australia. Colour? not sure , possibly not original, but you could get basically any colour you wanted. I saw a Lilac one years ago! Probably repainted something "standard" now.

That's lovely. Love the positioning of the radio!

Pretty sure it is where the factory fitted them, my Bora has the radio in the same place which is actually quite annoying if you are busy driving as you can't ask your passenger to find something decent to listen to!

Yes that is where they were fitted. My old Merak had the Bora dash and also had the radio there. Remember in the 70's RHD markets were a sort of after thought. Boot releases on the passenger side door recess etc.

It's the 70s , tuning the radio while driving and filling a pipe were second nature

A guy at work told me his dad managed to change the Flint in a lighter on the M6 when they were going on holiday so tuning a radio wouldn't even register on the 70s dangerous things to do while driving scale

Series 1 Range Rovers had the radio there as well must have been the place in the early 70s

Bora was one of my favourite Top Trump cards when I was kid, probably the start of the Maserati itch

You say that, look how many GS and 32's are left, 208 GTA's and less manuals. That is very low number cars
