Simple question which pads are considered closest to the original pads. Just a simple replacement your views for ordinary day to day use. No heavy foot or track days.

EU regulation 90 means that any brake linings sold in the EU cannot deviate from the original parts performance by more than 15% so pretty much anything marked as ECE90 will do the job. They should come in tamper evident packaging too.

Peter - a number of us have fitted Mintex pads to the new forum discs and are all very happy with the results.

I recently changed to yellow EBC to my GS and my first impression is good. No hard testing yet for spirited drive where they should be really good being track friendly. But surprisingly very good for daily use.

MINTEX references MDB1752 & MDB1456, but attached is a copy of my receipt from brakes international in Rochdale (01706666999), they are offering a deal to SM forum members ask for Sarah & mention the forum, I was able to collect so mine are minus the postage costs! Also the bill shows different part references but I've just got the MINTEX references off the boxes in the garage.

i ordered the Mintex MDB1752 and they dont fit ? They have no brake wear slot and there is a slot where the spring should sit . Does anyone know where i can get Mintex fronts for a facelift 4200??

I have an unused set of Mintex MDB1752 fronts (Martyn what is the issue with yours? I cannot see anything untoward on these, they have the slot for the wear sensor to press into), the seal is broken but I didn't use them as I stuck with the yellow stuff I had when the Mintex did not perform well on the track (MAF).

I likewise have a set of unused (sealed) Ferodo FDB451 rear pads; I also kept the yellow stuff on the rears...

Anyone wanting these I can bring to Ace or drop off in passing, happy to do them at cost or make an offer.

They are sat on my desk, I won't be using them as I'm in tune with the yellow stuff and the occasional 'cold brakes' incident!!!!

Wrong pads in the right box by the sound of it.
